Queue & Barrier Pro

1.1.318 Oct 2026

Right Angles Only: the simplest square path

  • Right Angles Only builds the simplest square path: every turn is exactly 90 degrees, always, and your points are its guides
  • The line starts on your first point and ends on your last one (or on its wall, met square). Each segment becomes a straight run along its nearest axis, runs that go the same way join, and a corner post stands where two runs cross, near your turn
  • Points along a run are guides, not posts, and are not warned: move them to shape the path. A line that doubles back gets a small jog, a loop closes square at its first point, and a wall fitting slides a little along the wall when the line cannot meet it where it was put (the Report says how far)
  • With Fixed Lengths every run is whole pieces but the last
  • Draw Barrier shows the squared line live as you click guide points, with dashed lines from guides that are off it

Wall fittings per product, base alignment, slope modes, right angles, fixed lengths

  • Choosing a wall fitting always does something, or says why not: an end given a fitting now follows Look's Wall Mount after a product switch, Wall Ends says when the line has no wall end yet or some ends keep their own fitting (Use on All Ends), and Selected says when no wall is within 0.6 m of the end
  • Base Alignment for bollards, delineators and striped chain posts: Follow Line, Aligned to Line or Aligned to World straightens square plates, rubber pads and octagon bases. Rings, T tops, eyes and hooks keep their facing, so chains hang as before
  • Panels on a slope: Turned (the panel as before), Stepped (every panel level at the higher post's top, held by a tube clamp under the head of the lower post) or Shaped (each panel made to its slope, for permanent installs, with its print level or following the slope). Set it for the line or for one panel; rails stay Turned
  • Right Angles Only (rails and panels): every turn of the barrier is square to the line's first segment. Off by default. Rebuilt in 1.1.3 as the simplest square path
  • Fixed Lengths (rails and panels): every piece is one of your lengths, the product's stock lengths or your own, for example 1.5 m and 0.5 m. Posts are added in whole pieces, the long ones first, a piece to a wall is cut to fit, and the Report counts each length. Off by default, independent of Right Angles Only

Image libraries, Default look, cleaner details

  • The logo, cap sticker, panel image and sign libraries work with the barrier's source selected, and the picked image reaches the belts, caps and panels
  • The Look menu starts with Default (every look setting and size back to the product's own values) and Default Look (the look only, your sizes stay). One undo step, and each post's and connector's own settings stay
  • Air bubbles in Print Realism are only a surface effect: a small raised blister that catches the light, never a paler print
  • The wall receiver is the post's own head on a screwed back plate, with the line's slot; the wall cassette got rounded edges and the same plate
  • The rope wall hook has no spring catch: a clean rod with a rounded tip
1.1.017 Oct 2026

A simpler sidebar, look presets, wall mounts for every type

  • Four panels, one at a time: Queue & Barrier Pro, Look, Line and Selected. Click a post or a belt and the sidebar shows only its settings; Whole Line shows the line again. Rarely used settings sit in folds named by what they hold, and each panel has a ? that opens its page of the manual
  • Look presets: Airport Blue, Bank Brass, Hotel Red Velvet, Museum Black, Construction Site and Event Branded, each suiting every product
  • Your own presets: save a line's look, or its look and sizes, and apply it to any line in any file with one click. Rename, delete, export and import them; a preset made on another product applies what fits and says what it skipped
  • Choose the product before drawing: with nothing selected the first panel shows the product your next barrier is made of, and Draw Barrier, Make Barrier and Make Queue use it
  • A post's or belt's own settings read like the line's: each row shows the line's value until you change it, and a reset arrow puts it back. One set of words for opening a belt: Unhook, Remove and Put Back, on a post, on a belt and in the right-click menu
  • Right-click a post or belt > Edit opens its settings at the mouse. Move Point selects the post's point in the source, ready to move with G
  • A wall fitting for every connector: a receiver or a cassette for belts, a plate or a hook for ropes and chains, a screw eye for delineators, a bracket for beams, a flange for the Brass Bank Rail, a rail for panels. Choose it per end or for the line
  • Automatic wall ends: a line end whose post would cut into a wall becomes a wall mount by itself (Auto Wall Ends, on by default), and Draw Barrier ends a line on a wall fitting when you click a wall
  • Ropes and chains keep their length to the fitting; rails and panels that run to a wall are cut to fit. New warnings for no wall found, a wall end on a gap and a connector that rubs the wall; the Report counts the fittings and their wall anchors
  • Top Belt is now the top belt's height from the floor, and Lower Belt shows only while something is double
